Overview

When you are a graduate of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious historically Black college for women, extraordinary accomplishments are expected of you. Spelman exists to fully develop not only the wealthy or the brilliant, but also those who are seriously committed to learning and to ethically serving others and their communities. By all indications, it is doing so quite well. Spelman measures a graduate’s success not in financial terms, but by their ability to lead positive social change.
