Overview

Florida International University is a very large, up-and-coming school with a growing research program and competitive admissions standards. It is one of the biggest schools in the country (almost 36,000 undergraduates and seventh-largest in our study) and has strong programs in science, engineering, business, and many other areas. This is fairly impressive for a school that has not yet celebrated its 50th anniversary. Students are overwhelmingly from Florida, though they hail from all over the US.
